My teaching practice aims to synthesise confidence, criticality and creativity for young people. Teaching graphic design allows me to explore how to empower students to communicate and debate the issues closest to them.
I continue to ask how can we make work that takes risk, embraces valuable failure and examines the current climate. I enfold ideas of understanding process, makers culture and entrepreneurial studies which can better equip students for their next steps beyond the academic environment. Above all, I believe that the work should generate community, and to embrace learning through play!
I aim to build teaching experience with undergrad students to capitalise on my understanding of student learning prior to degree level.
